Hello all. My back's really to the wall on this one, and I'm starting to look for help online:
I am (or
was...) a straight male. ("Asexual" male might be more appropriate now

)When I was sixteen years old, my sex drive disappeared over the course of a month. It's been gone for over ten years at this point and I still can't figure it out.
It's really ruined my life in a lot of ways, yet no professional seems to understand it fully. I've had my hormones checked, seen psychologists and made many positive lifestyle changes to no avail. I'd like to pin it on depression, but I think the depression was more of a
result of losing my sex drive. (It went away when I was 16 ((I'm 26, going on 27 now,)) and, needless to say, was a very tender age to suffer
that kind of loss.) Not to mention that I've had very good, happy years recently, with no libido returning. Currently, I'm trying to work on body image/eating disorder stuff, as it seems about the only "neurosis" left in my head that could explain this- but I'd love to think that this is really something hormonal (or much simpler.)
If anyone knows anything or has any "success stories" please share them. This is a very frustrating thing to deal with.
